286 Rooms include 20 Standard Rooms, 77 Land Villas, 83 Jacuzzi Villas, 27 Water Villas, 77 Jacuzzi Water Villas, and 2 Honeymoon Suites.

All rooms feature tropical décor, a king size or two twin beds, tile or wood floors, private patio with furniture, air-conditioning, overhead ceiling fan, sitting area, stocked Mini Bar with refrigerator, tea/coffee machine, IDD telephone, color cable TV, personal safe, bathroom with hot water, shower, bath accessories, hair dryer, and nightly turndown service. Electricity is 220VAC, 50HZ. Also provided is complimentary use of chaise lounges at the pool and beach and beach towels.

Standard Rooms

Standard Rooms are located in a “U” shaped block of 20 rooms near the swimming pool, and share a shaded area beneath the coconut palms and a lovely view of the tropical gardens . Back to Top

Land Villas

Land Villas are located on the beach, and are spacious, individual wooden bungalows offering a beautiful view of the lagoon, and feature a semi open-air bathroom. Back to Top

Jacuzzi Villas

Jacuzzi Villas are Land Villas with a private, walled-in outdoor area featuring a Jacuzzi for two “under the stars”, a wooden sundeck with chaise lounges, a shade Pavilion, a small tropical garden, a four poster bed and CD player. Back to Top

Water Villas

Water Villas are located at the water’s edge, with private sundeck, stairs into the sea, a spectacular view of the lagoon, the luxury of a large bedroom with four poster bed, CD player, a sitting area, and a semi open-air bathroom. Back to Top

Jacuzzi Water Villas

Jacuzzi Water Villas are located over-the-water, in the lagoon…a short walk along your private jetty to this secluded hideaway featuring a large bedroom, a sitting area with a DVD player, a tea/coffee/espresso machine; a spacious bathroom with double sinks, a Jacuzzi for two, a private sundeck and stairs into the sea. Honeymoon Suites

Honeymoon Suites are located over-the-water, in the lagoon…a short “dhoni” boat ride from shore. These exclusive, luxuriously appointed Suites feature the same facilities as the Jacuzzi Water Villa, plus a living room/dining room area, a stocked kitchenette for breakfast, a bathroom with bath and bidet, your private “lagoon” pool and a room service menu for dining on your sundeck/terrace. No fuss dining, just good food is the order of the day at Meeru. No dressing up to impress. Just stroll in from the beach or from your room, and sit down and enjoy. There are five restaurants and six bars where you will find everything you want, and at all hours of the day. So just continue to have fun and there’ll be plenty of food on offer just when you want it.

The Farivalhu

Even on the hottest day the breeze wafts through this amazing eatery. A tall sloping roof with cooling fans buzzing in the rafters. All meals are buffet, with the menu changing every day. A comprehensive breakfast is available to fuel up divers for the day ahead. Lunch and dinner buffets offer a wide selection of different kinds of food, salads, pastas, meat and fish, as well as a good sweet and fresh fruit selection. Vegetarians and people with special dietary needs can also be catered for, but they should let the resort know beforehand. Hungaanu Coffee Shop

Offering a wide choice of snacks, the coffee shop is a relaxed place overlooking the sea and next to the swimming pool where light meals can be served while you're lazing by the water. Room service is also available from the coffee shop up until 11.00 pm. The system offered here is flexible, so if you're a late riser and miss out on the buffet breakfast, the Hungaanu Coffee Shop offers an a la carte breakfast menu between 9.30 and 11.30. In fact there´s no need to worry about missing any meals as there is a choice of snacks, pizzas, pastas, and more substantial dishes on offer until late at night, as well as a choice of ice creams and fresh fruit. The OCEAN-PRO Dive Team in Meeru welcomes all guests who not only want to enjoy the luxury of the beautiful dive sites around North Male Atoll, but are also looking for something special.

Allow yourself to glide through the deep blue waters of the Indian Ocean discovering the beauty of the aquatic world!

We offer an interesting variety of courses from novice right through to expert courses that are not available everywhere.
We are confident that at least one of these will fulfill your dreams!

Our "Draeger Dolphin Rebreathers" allow almost “bubble free/soundless diving”. Therefore, they are very popular with every budding Underwater Photographer and normal noisy scuba divers. As a Rebreather Diver you can look forward to approaching the fish astonishingly close. Even shy underwater creatures accept all Rebreather Divers as members of their world. Less air consumption, smaller tanks and still more time underwater are further benefits of Rebreather Diving. Breathing warm, moist air puts a stop to a dry throat! We offer “Introductory Rebreather Dives”. You need to be certified as a Nitrox Diver (40 %) and should be able to show a minimum of 14 logged dives. Once you are hooked and enjoy Rebreather Diving, this “Introductory Rebreather Diver Course” can count towards the full course, which takes 2-3 days and includes four dives in total. So why not get really close to Mantas, Sharks and Turtles without the disturbing bubbles and take home some very special memories!!

Beyond that, we offer the whole range of PADI courses from Beginner through to Divemaster level, plus a wide variety of Specialty courses too. For our Nitrox Divers we offer Nitrox 32% for free! Also for our non-diving guests we organize guided snorkel trips by boat five times a week.

With all these underwater activities that we offer you may want to remember this for all time. If so, why not make a photographic diary of your experiences by renting one of our four digital underwater cameras.

You will find a very spacious diving school with all the amenities a diver can ask for. No diver carries their equipment to the diving boat and 6 days non limit diving without visiting a dive site twice is normal.

Meeru is surrounded by a big, beautiful lagoon. There is no typical house reef and so all dives are boat dives. The lagoon is home to a great variety of marine life, with interesting coral formations and colourful fish life in shallow water. It is perfect for snorkelers and for diver training.

Our three classrooms are fully air conditioned and equipped with TV/DVDs and all PADI course materials are available in English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.

All equipment necessary for diving or snorkeling can be rented at the dive centre. The equipment is checked, serviced and replaced regularly insuring that everything is always up to date. The spacious wet room allows individual storage of both rental and personal diving equipment.

We cover most of North Male Atoll with more than 50 dive sites, rated from easy to difficult. They include different reef formations (e.g., Tilas, Giris, Farus), Outside Reefs, Channels and Wrecks. The outside reefs around Meeru are famous for their turtle population and so encounters are literally guaranteed. It is also possible to see Sharks and Manta Rays throughout the year. Our favorite Manta spots from May to December are “Fairy Tale” and “Lankan Manta Point” and from December to April “Bodu Hithi Thila”. These trips are offered as full day or two tank dive excursions.

The average water temperature is 28 degrees Celsius. and the visibility from January to May is about 20m to 50m and from June to December is 15m to 25m.
