Providing totally unobstructed views of the jewel-blue waters, an Ocean House is the ultimate choice for privacy and tranquility. With a hardwood deck stretching out right over the water, you will be lulled into total serenity by the gentle lapping of the waves breaking over the reef below. Each Ocean House has the additional pleasure of a private Cabana located on the beach, which can be used for lounging and massage during day or dining in the evening.

You’re allowed in indulge at Naladhu – in fact, we encourage it.

Sometimes, indulgence means spending a cozy night in your private house, dressed as you wish, watching the waves roll in from your deck, or with a favourite classic film on the home theatre system. For these times, you’ll be happy to know that the chefs of the Living Room can cater to your every whim, right in the privacy of your home, at just about any time day or night.

Satisfy tastes ranging from the classic to the eccentric, whenever, wherever. Dine in privacy on your terrace, under the stars or the sun. Enjoy a barbecue on your deck, complete with your own private chef and waiter. Or, for the true romantic, surprise your loved one and organise a champagne breakfast.

Our chefs also offer a variety of set dinners for every craving, including Thai, Indian, Maldivian and Western. Or, kick back on your deck at sunset with a platter of our chef’s favourite canapés and a bottle of Krug. Have a favourite that isn’t listed in our menu? Your House Master will see to it that we provide it – or at least our own creative interpretation.

Romance abounds on Naladhu and its spectacular surrounds. Being a bit romantic themselves, our chefs have designed a range of truly unique dining opportunities called ‘Intimate Dining Affairs’, in which they bring their favourite menus to the destination of your choice around the island. Complete with candles, tablecloths, silver and all the little touches of perfection, our 'Intimate Affairs' offer some of Naladhu’s most precious timeless moments for you both to cherish.

Escape to a nearby desert island for a private beach dinner. Feast onboard an elegant dhoni, the traditional Maldivian sailboat, as you sail into the sunset. Our chefs and staff can cater private parties, pre-dinner cocktails or afternoon tea in the comfort of your pavilion. For the health conscious, guests can consult with our chef to discuss individual dietary requirements, spa menus or other special meal requests.

Neighbouring Islands

If you so desire, your Naladhu dining adventures may even extend across the lagoon to our nearby sister islands. Anantara Dhigu and Anantara Veli each offer their own colourful spectrum of culinary surprises, all within the reach of our Naladhu residents.

All Naladhu guests are free to explore the colourful dining options on nearby Anantara Dhighu, just a short ride on the Naladhu glider across the lagoon.

On Anantara Veli:

Alternatively, Naladhu guests are invited to take a stroll across the wooden walkway that connects our island to the lush neighbouring island of Anantara Veli.

The Living Room

The Living Room is where our Naladhu residents come together to enjoy fine wines, conversation, splendid views and sea breezes – and some of the finest dining you may ever encounter on any continent.

The Living Room concept features daily table d’hôte menus which change daily based on whatever our chef finds fresh at the market that day. This means you are assured only the best quality ingredients and our chef’s playful fusion of cooking styles to tantalise your taste buds, island style.

Overlooking the lagoon, with an expansive hardwood deck for al fresco dinners in the ocean breeze, or floor-to-ceiling glass walls surrounding the casually elegant interior, The Living Room is a study in chic design without pretension. Its centrepiece is a glass-walled walk-in wine cellar, stocked with some of the most esteemed (and a few of the most rare) vintages from both the Old and New Worlds – a collection to rival any destination restaurant in any world capital. Our staff – including our chef himself – will help you pair the wine with the meal or the meal with the wine, in an effort to ensure that every dining experience is one as timeless as Naladhu.

Diving

Some of the best views in the Maldives can be found below the surface. Naladhu’s on-site PADI Dive Centre offers a full range of scuba certification courses. With classes ranging from scuba discovery to advanced open-water, wreck diving and even rescue dives, our Naladhu residents, from first-timer to fanatic, are sure to find an adventure suited to their abilities. Every day, the centre offers up to four dives at a variety of locations – in fact, within a half-hour radius of our island, there are no less than 20 world-class dives to enjoy.

All dives are guided and divided into small groups for maximum comfort and enjoyment underwater. Just bring yourself, as the Dive Centre has everything else you require – towels, equipment, suits and onboard refreshments. Your House Master can arrange a gourmet picnic lunch of your choice. Just choose your desert island.

For our more laid-back residents, we offer a variety of snorkelling excursions to neighbouring reefs, manta ray “cleaning stations” and of course our own nearby house reef teeming with underwater beauty. Embark on an adventure via catamaran, dhoni or Naladhu launch to locations near and far afield. Given the beauty of the Maldives, the journey is unforgettable in itself.
