Room Types

One&Only Reethi Rah is home to 130 private villas discreetly placed along the shore – with 98 Beach Villas secluded by lush tropical greenery, and 32 Water Villas set above the clear, protected waters of the lagoon. Among the largest resort villas in the world, each is detached, expansive and equally luxurious.

Designed with a contemporary elegance, their stylish feel is combined with a diverse Asian influence, blending clean lines with skilful use of natural materials such as coconut shell, sea grass, silk, rattan, teak, mahogany, terrazzo and thatch. Generous exterior spaces range from beach verandas to private swimming pools and large over-water decks.

Each attended by a personal Villa Host, the freestanding villas feature the latest technologies and are designed with high airy ceilings complemented by bamboo arches, their spaciousness allowing for a variety of personal entertainment and dining options.

Grand Beach Villa

The largest villas at the resort, Grand Beach Villas are hidden amidst tropical foliage with private access to the lagoon and beach. With an astounding interior space, the villas offer one or two bedrooms, separate dining and sitting room, and a spacious bathroom with a luxurious bath for two with walk-in rain and jet shower. Duplex Beach Villa

An ideal family option, these villas feature one King-size bed villa and a villa with two Queen-size beds plus divan (accommodating up to four small children and a nanny, or a couple with three older children). Water Villa

Situated above the crystalline waters of the lagoon, Water Villas are connected by walkways from secluded points on the island. A truly sublime retreat, these villas feature outdoor covered terraces on stilts and split-level verandas with steps into the ocean. Grand Water Villas with Pool

Tapasake

Compared to two of London’s top Japanese restaurants, this over-water venue combines incredible sunset views with contemporary Japanese cuisine. For the purist, deliveries from Tokyo and Osaka coupled with the chef’s hand-picked ingredients ensure sushi and sashimi meet the highest standards. Tapasake’s menu features superb fish and seafood, fresh from the Indian Ocean, transformed into modern Japanese cuisine with a twist. Fanditha

Hidden on the northern tip of the island is the sensual, Arabesque Fanditha. This exotic, boho-chic beachside spot serves a Middle Eastern influenced menu of mezzehs, chargrills and salads – accompanied by the finest selection of chilled rosés and champagnes. At the lounge area, guests may laze on divan-style bolsters and Arabic carpets, on bamboo loungers or in woven hammocks. Rah Bar

Swimmers and sunbathers needn’t move far from the main pool to partake in the amazing menu at the adjacent Rah Bar. An all day menu of healthy salads, wraps and snacks also offers low-fat smoothies made with exotic fresh fruits and vegetables, a variety of waters and a fresh juice station. With the fall of evening, Rah Bar is transformed into a vibrant cocktail bar with live music, cool martinis, tropical cocktails, sparkling champagne and a fine collection of vintage rums from the Indian Ocean and Caribbean islands. Services and Activities

Land sports
The resort is always buzzing with the energy of island life, and there are dozens of activities to choose from every day. Excitement is just beyond the doorstep of each villa with beach volleyball, football, Pétanque and croquet. Bicycling and jogging are great ways to explore the island’s 44 hectares.

Water sports
Acclaimed for its rare underwater beauty and Technicolor coral reefs, the Maldives is home to some of the world’s best snorkelling and dive sites… many guests visit simply to explore the amazing tropical wonders of the Indian Ocean. Embark on a dolphin-watching expedition, glide over crystalline waters on a catamaran, or soar into the sky on a parasailing adventure. Other water sports on offer include banana tube rides, canoeing, kayaking, water-skiing and windsurfing. Enjoy island hopping and cocktail cruises or set out on a big game deep-sea fishing excursion.

Pools and beaches
With 12 beaches and 40 pools, water sports abound on this island paradise.

For more relaxing pursuits, guests may bask in the carved stone bed of the lap pool which stretches out into the ocean, cool in the main pool under swaying palms, or simply indulge in a day of seclusion at a private villa pool or personal stretch of sandy beach.

The main pools are located near Reethi Restaurant. The adult-only lap pool extends 30 metres out into the lagoon and features a unique bubble bed at one end, while the freeform infinity-edge pool has an internal Jacuzzi and islands.

Children have their own pool at KidsOnly, which is supervised at all times by a certified lifeguard.

Diving

Diving and snorkelling

Thilas, giris, reefs, drop-offs, corners, channels, wrecks – and visibility of up to 50 metres – make this a wonderful and safe place to learn to dive, and an equally rewarding centre for further exploration by the already qualified. Within a short distance is one of the Maldives' best shark sites, as well as the 1988 wreck of the Hembadu, the Rasfari Protected Marine Area and some excellent turtle and manta ray viewing.

At the One&Only Reethi Rah Dive Centre, a PADI Gold Palm Resort and the only PADI National Georgaphic Dive Centre in the Maldives, a team of experts offer a wide range of PADI-certified dive programmes for adults and children as young as 8 years old, including a complimentary daily orientation dive. A PADI Open Water Dive qualification can be achieved during a one-week stay. “Bubblemaker” lessons for younger kids and Discover Scuba programs for pre-teens and older are also available.

Underwater scooters, digital cameras and camcorders are available for personal use. The One&Only Reethi Rah Dive Centre operates two luxury Dive Dhonis, complete with sun decks, hot showers, robes and refreshments.

State-of-the-art equipment includes SCUBAPRO, as well as Bauer and Komptec compressors, all serviced on a regular basis with absolute safety
in mind.

The One&Only Reethi Rah Dive Centre is open daily from 8:30am to 7:00pm.

Spa

Located in a secluded area of the resort with expansive relaxation lawns and manicured gardens, the spa commands an impressive space of 9,500m2 (102,250ft2) with spectacular views of the ocean.

Natural and healing therapies are provided in eight luxurious treatment villas, each nestled beneath its own thatched roof and uniquely designed to form a soothing natural environment with exquisite finishes of Batu Chandi stone surrounding the terrace platform. Two over-water double treatment suites are an enticing retreat for couples. Customized treatments are based on Ayurvedic traditions infused with western luxuries.

It is an all-encompassing experience with swirling vitality pools, crystal steam rooms, saunas and stimulating ice fountains. Lifestyle showers create a refreshing burst of tropical rain, and healthy spa cuisine and beach-side relaxation pavilions complete the journey.
